Illinois Intimate Backyard Wedding
Such a gorgeous day filled with thoughtful details in the yard of the first HOME that they bought together. I just loved documenting their intimate backyard wedding in central Illinois. It was simple yet filled with so many beautiful touches and had the most gorgeous color palette. A wedding photographer’s dream come true!
Bloomington, Illinois Engagement Session
This engagement session at Ewing Park in Bloomington Illinois turned out to have ethereal vibes. These two were so easy to work with and produced the most beautiful natural looking images with me. Being a wedding and engagement photographer in Central Illinois means working with the tame surroundings that we’re given but when you have a beautiful couple in love, it can make anywhere look magical. I have found my favorite thing to do in engagement sessions is to try to prompt as much movement from my couples as possible. In this session I encouraged them to continually sway, continue to kiss down the cheek or rub each others head, and DON’T STOP. Movement is KEY to natural looking images! And look how ethereal these turned out! !
Engagement Session at Fort Sheridan
The most beautiful setting in the historic area of Fort Sheridan Forest Preserve in Fort Sheridan, Illinois. The beach is on the wonderful and mighty Lake Michigan and has gorgeous rocks lining the sand and was truly the best setting for this Fort Sheridan engagement session. Zoe and John had the best outfits that fit the beachy vibes perfectly. Zoes cream colored dress was from free people and flowed perfectly as she danced in circles, and they chased each other around. Sessions like these that are full of giggles and pure love are my absolute favorite! Check out the entire gallery from our evening at Fort Sheridan here!
The Barn at Fairview Acres

Wedding at the Barn at Fairview Acres
Loooove a good barn wedding in rural Illinois. The weather was perfect, love was in the air and there were many laughs shared at this light-hearted, fun wedding! This was my second time shooting at The Barn at Fairview Acres in Briggsville, Illinois and it did not disappoint. It is such a well-run venue with amazing wedding coordinators that keep everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) on track! Ideal lighting and decor in the bridal suites and indoor ceremony/ reception area with gorgeous spots on property for couple portraits make this overall a GREAT spot to get hitched! I absolutely loved my time shooting here again for this day!

STARVED ROCK WEDDING
Friday, October 13th, 2023
This Bride and Groom had the most ENCHANTED rainy wedding day at Starved Rock Lodge and Conference center, located in the incredible Starved Rock State Park in Illinois.
You know when two people are truly just so in love, you can see it in the way they speak and look at, and even move together? This was Mackenna and Steven! They were so in love and determined to have the best wedding day celebrating their love and unity and didn’t bat an eye at an all day forecast of rain. A lot of the day was spent shifting plans to keep as dry as possible but despite the rain, we still spent a lot of the day taking pictures outside. The rain was honestly the perfect touch to creating these whimsical forest wedding images. Mackenna the bride brought clear umbrellas for the whole wedding party that kept them dry. She was a diy bride and they made all of their whimsical mushroom forest decor! I absolutely loved all the details she added. The first look with her dad was under a pavilion and his reaction when he saw her was so sweet. The bride and groom had their first look outside while it rained lightly in that moment. We tried to get as many pictures as possible any time the rain let up, but I truly do not think there was more than 5 minutes at a time without rain. Their ceremony was incredible, and I am so glad they decided to keep it outside despite the rain. Their guests had umbrellas which created incredible framing of them at the end of the aisle and their first kiss image is one of my favorites ever. She is a cake artist and made her amazing cake! With choreographed first dances and an amazing party on the dance floor to end such an enchanted day.
